I hope you’re doing well?
I decided to answer some frequently asked questions about my pregnancy experience.
I’m currently 35 weeks and 2 days!
How did you discover you where pregnant and how far along where you?
I took a pregnancy test in my bathroom and I was 6 weeks along!
What was your initial reaction to being pregnant?
It sounds heartless, but I didn’t really feel much. Then it turned to extreme excitement.
Was this baby planned?
Did you have to give up any habits, was it hard?
Now, I haven’t changed anything about my normal living style. A lot of women are so worried about what they eat etc. during pregnancy, but I haven’t been and I have a very happy, healthy little bundle of joy about to pop out!
What was the best part about being pregnant?
Definitely feeling her move, hearing her heart beat and just knowing I’m growing my little baby.
What was the worst parts about being pregnant?
As I suffered with an eating disorder beforehand, I’d definitely say the whole gaining weight. I got over it after a few months though.
Did you have any odd or different cravings?
I’ve only craved black olives, crab sticks and (oddly) chalk.
Did you take any birthing or parenting classes prior to this child being born?
I haven’t taken any, and I don’t plan on. I think it’s best to just learn as it comes.
How much weight did you gain?
I’ve gained about 2 stone – ridiculous!
Did you have morning sickness?
Yes! All the way through. It stopped from 15-22 weeks and then came back with a vengeance.
Was there any complications?
The placenta was in the wrong place and she was breech for a little while. All else – all good!
Did you find out if he/she was a boy or girl before they were born?
I found out when I was 20 weeks; at my second scan.
What did you find were the most essential things to get before the baby came?
A place for her to sleep, bottles, clothes, nappies and wipes.
Do you use a midwife? If so, would you use one again?
I do indeed – although I never really had a chance. I would use one again, mine is lovely.
How and where will your baby be delivered?
Hoping only with gas and air – in my city’s hospital.
Any more questions feel free to ask!
